FDIC Insurance Details

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) provides insurance coverage to depositors up to $250,000 per depositor, per insured bank, for each account ownership category. This means if you have multiple accounts with different ownership categories at GRB, each category will be insured separately up to the limit.

FDIC insurance covers a wide range of deposit accounts, including savings accounts, checking accounts, money market deposit accounts, and certificates of deposit (CDs). Coverage is based on different ownership categories, such as single accounts, joint accounts, certain retirement accounts, and revocable trust accounts. Each category has its own coverage limit.

The FDIC provides resources and tools to help depositors understand their insurance coverage and verify the status of banks. Use the FDIC website to look up whether a bank is insured and review its insurance coverage using the BankFind online tool.

If you have a specific question about FDIC insurance on your accounts, please contact our Relationship Banking Team by phone or by using the contact form below.
